Meet Dr. Nathan Flesher
God made me to be a dentist, healer, teacher, and encourager. I get to do all these things as a private practice dentist and I thank Him so much for guiding my path along the way (it wasn’t always easy or without missteps!). I never have to question whether I’m doing the right thing or making a positive impact. What a blessing to be able to say that!
As a teen, God put on my heart to become a dentist and I never looked back or made a plan B. Growing up, my parents were the only couple in a group of friends that did not practice dentistry. The dentists in this friend group had a profound effect on me: they were God-fearing men who were well-respected in our small hometown, who had built beautiful lives and families. I knew, without a doubt, that I wanted to do what they did.

At Golden Rule Dental Care
I have been humbled to practice dentistry since 2014. Being in private practice is a privilege: I have the freedom provide the highest levels of care in a nurturing and healing environment.
I love the connection that my degree and practice afford me to develop with my patients. In today’s society, we rarely have opportunities to truly impact more than the few people we have close relationships with. As a dentist, the trust that my hundreds of patients place in myself and my team, to see their overall health without the filters of social and HIPAA privacy, is unparalleled. This is a huge responsibility and very rewarding. So many people entrust us with their care and we get to help each achieve the holistic health and wellbeing they deserve.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my career is helping people heal themselves. As a Christian, I believe we are made in God’s image in the Trinity representing body, mind, and soul. True healers help others heal themselves while focusing on the whole of the person, not just on components.
At Golden Rule Dental Care, we have helped countless dental-phobes completely convert to raving fans who actually look forward to coming in!
I love a busy day of comprehensive dentistry, repairing mouths, eliminating pain and infection, and making smiles even more beautiful. Just as rewarding are the times when I get to pray and share encouraging scripture, or discuss systemic health issues such as nutrition, exercise, and stopping unhealthful behaviors. My undergraduate degree in biochemistry, and my study of God’s word, has really afforded me a much more comprehensive capability to help my patients heal not just their mouth but their whole body, mind, and soul.
Professional Affiliations and Dedication to Continuous Study and Growth
Since completing my dental degree in 2014, I have constantly sought out and participated in opportunities to further develop my professional knowledge and abilities. Active, ongoing membership in the
- American Dental Association
- Academy of General Dentistry
- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
allows me to learn from leading oral health practitioners and researchers.
The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners requires only 12-hours per year of continuing education (CE). I am proud to vastly exceed that minimum, averaging over 60-hours per year out of a natural passion for learning.
Patients benefit from this wealth of knowledge and experience, as we offer a wide array of services under one roof and achieve better outcomes in all cases. As a result of CE, we offer digital applications, like guided implant surgeries and 3D printing, as well as comprehensive care including full-mouth reconstruction, Botox®/fillers, and sleep apnea treatment.
I have obtained post-doctoral certifications from Clinical Mastery Series on Advanced Treatment Planning. Additionally, through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, I have specialized training on Advanced Botox and Dermal Filler treatments.
Outside the Practice
Having grown-up in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Arlington, Texas has been my home since 2014. I’m blessed to call my high school sweetheart, Becca, my wife since 2008. I proposed while we were modeling in a bridal fashion show which was picked up by the local news and subsequently Inside Edition!
Becca is a registered nurse, with most of her ten years practicing spent in Oncology and then Cosmetic Surgery. Since 2018, she has focused on growing and raising our lovely three children: Gavin (2018), Grace (2020), and Evie Jo (2022). All three attend Pantego Christian Academy and we’re blessed to be part of the PCA family. We are active members of Gospel City Church, serving in multiple roles, including myself on the security team and Becca as a leader in the women’s ministry, too.
Becca and I enjoy staying physically fit, averaging six days a week despite the demands of the practice and our children. My passions are family time, growing closer to God, and learning.
Serving others has always been core to who I am. Since completing dental school I have spent hours volunteering at various local nonprofits, including Mission Arlington Allan Saxe Dental Clinic, Dental Health Arlington, and Beautiful Feet Ministries Dental Clinic in Fort Worth.
As God put on my heart to name my practice Golden Rule Dental Care, I believe that the Bible states this Golden Rule as a verb: to actively “go forth” and do unto others as we’d have them do unto us.
